Loading Pad Installation

  1. Apply a small amount of dish soap to the inside of the loading pad and the outside of the speargun loading butt. This will prevent the pad from tearing during the installation process.
  2. With the text on the loading pad oriented "up" with respect to the speargun, insert one side of the t-shaped speargun butt into one side of the loading pad. Make sure it is completely seated and the outside lip of the pad is not rolled over on itself.
  3.  Use your hand to squeeze the pad and stretch the other side of the loading pad over the rest of the speargun butt. Sometimes pressing firmly as if you were loading it on your chest will be enough to fully seat the pad and it will snap into place. If you are having trouble installing the pad by hand, you can use something like a flathead screwdriver to pry the pad over the rest of the speargun butt.

***If the pad is removed or comes of and you are unable to reinstall it with soap as a lubricant, wetsuit lube or just water can be used as well. I cannot recommend trying to install it completely dry as this can cause the loading pad to tear.***
