I currently dive out of an 18' flats boat which means finding storage space during a spearfishing trip can be a struggle. I decided that a set of speargun/fin racks that could hang on the poling platform could be the solution to this. Here is a set of custom 'Saddle Bags' assembled out of King StarBoard. These proved to be a great way to clear up some deck space.
Each rack can hold 3 spearguns with individual bungee straps and 3-4 fins in the fin slot depending on their size.
The racks are secured to the polling platform with two draw latches to keep tension on the pipework as well as a through bolt to reduce the risk of the rack falling off if one of the latches were to fail. 3D printed TPU rubber boots were added to the lower clamp assembly to give the box a better grip on the pipework.
